Knowing what I know now having acquired several more jackets I might opt for just a touch more length (~0.75 - 1") in the sleeves. That being said, this was my first leather jacket purchase which I picked up barely used here on the Classifieds. Also, I think it's period correct in terms of sleeve length so I am happy and can appreciate it for what it is.

The hide is indeed spectacular. Unfortunately I've fallen victim to jacket acquisition syndrome, so giving this the proper amount of wear time becomes harder and harder with each additional jacket that comes through the door. My vintage Cal and Vanson are just as heavy, if not heavier, but they're fully broken in and so much easier to wear. (Obviously the pattern/cut affect the comfort and wearability as well.) Only way to get this one there is to put in the work.

It's actually the brown CXL FQHH, but if often seems to drift towards cordovan under certain lighting conditions. Picture was taken in the evening around 19:00, so the sun was just starting to get lower in the sky here at 41.5N latitude. The light was filtering through the pine trees in the back yard.

I can see where if you put your hands down to your sides the sleeves would look too short. Hard to tell how short with your hands in your pockets, though. However, if your happy with it..that's what counts.
