Do you also feel just a slight bit of hesitance towards the double denim thing? I’m almost over it, but it’s been a long journey to feel comfortable. It’s still there though and if the weather allows I will always choose leather over denim for that reason alone.

I think the shades need to be different.
Old jeans/newish jacket or old jacket/newish jeans. When the shades are too close it looks like a jumpsuit. I went black jacket as well but the dillema comes up frequently with denim shirts.

Stock. The Thurston stock lengths all pretty much fit me. Which is a godsend and a curse.

I can see that I really love this leather with this jacket while I don't like it on others...

Back here after a bit. Wearing my Vanson Stormer wax cotton jacket. This one has seen some decent use. I have the same one in green as well. They make great riding jacket for warmer, wet weather.

Like the look of those. A little shorter than a Barbour international which makes it even more practical on the bike. Any vent openings?

Thuggee - that red contrast stiching really pops! I think it looks very cool, sharp on that one. It may not be to everyone's taste, but for specific jackets and CR/Motorcycle oriented, it's a neat, sharp look.

Are you a taller gent? Because Thurston always seems to add a couple of inches length to all of their stock jackets which is a bit annoying for someone of slightly above average height 5'10" like myself. Otherwise there are a few jackets that I could have bought without hesitation from them.

Thought I’d post a update. It shows “evolution” after a few seasons of pretty light wear (which is just a function of being mostly at work or home). The phone camera doesnt seem to capture the grain very well but it has developed on the sleeves. The fit via Thurstons remains $.

Good Morning Everyone, today Benny Holiday is modelling a 16-year-old Aero halfbelt in outstanding CXL FQHH, a $20 Lowes brushed cotton shirt, some cheap relaxed-fit chinos he bought online a couple of years back from a store he can't even remember the name of, and ridiculously long Coronavirus hair that hasn't been cut for 9 weeks. Yes folks, winter is here in chilly western Sydney, and isn't Mr Holiday happy? "I just wanted to wear a leather jacket like the guys on the Fedora Lounge."
