Today....i’ve been wearing this one quite often. Fleecy, fuzzy, warm on the neck, no brainer. I’m not sure of it’s vintage as i’ve not been able to date the Talon zip.
I do love this jacket. You won’t find this at the mall.
The fuzzy lapel Californian.
Be well. Bowen

B, where in the hell have you been hiding this one? Awesome jacket. Looks great on you.

This is very nice! I don't recall pics of this one. It does look plenty warm. I do like the California Sportswear label. This label seems to go into the early 60s. I'm not sure what that zip is dated. Looks like a quality hide, typical of their jackets.

I recently bought this highwayman on ebay and it’s quite old in age, beginning of the 90s .. I want to use it as the main jacket for every day, it really is very comfortable soft, but there is one question .. how to get rid of the smell of old clothes from him (mustiness) and would like to betray the skin shine, what means do you use? thanks.

Thanks J, again.
I believe it was your post in the Deals thread that led this to me. It didn’t take but a minute to Bin it. I don’t think i even read the description for fear of losing it. Lol
There was a short discussion about the originality of the bearded lapels and short zip. Took about a second in hand to see it was original.
One of my top 3 most comfy leathers, all vintage.

Thank you Terry and i concur, the hide is a quality not always seen on many older jackets. The zip box is a puzzle to me. I’ve looked at zip threads and have not found this one so hard to date other than fairly old. Thanks for the praise i figured you’d appreciate it. It and the orig Windward i got from you are my feel good jackets.

A very hard question indeed...
Personally at this point I'd put it spread out inside a closed car with an Ozone-Generator running for a couple of hours...then leave it shut up inside the car for 24 hours before removing it. May take a couple of these cycles. It's a real thing that Auto dealers use to help get rid of smoke smells from smoker's cars they take in on trade. Might work for the jacket: https://www.yourmechanic.com/articl...wanted-odors-in-your-vehicle-by-spencer-cates
