Yeah man the mouton lined CALS are super rare! Don’t see them all that often. I’m hoping it’s as warm as it looks. Much as I love my other CAL the silky lining requires quite a few layers to stay warm. This looks like I can just sport a button down under it. I’m not sure anything can dethrone my CPD though. It’s like wearing a turtle shell wrapped in leather.

This is a grail piece alright. I didn't even know shearling lined Cal existed! Never seen one lined in anything other than that silky lining and I was wondering how come they don't use at least the quilted stuff, like Taylor's. I really wonder how's that one going to fit.

So I had a custom A2 made by US Authentic. It was delivered yesterday. It's really nice. For the price it can't be beat imo. It had to be custom made because my short stature and thin build. It's basically a size 34 short. Really is a perfect fit. I opted for seal goatskin and had handwarmer pockets added behind the flap pockets so they're hidden. It's a nice addition that comes in handy. Very pleased with it.

Well this ancient, thrashed thing arrived. If I can get the back fixed, it'll be wearable. But this thing is old. Even the replacement YKK zipper became vintage by now! Let alone the jacket...

File this under potential. Its checking a lot of boxes for me. Two concerns are 1. Is it heavy enough for what I want 15f-35f. 2. Will the “waxy cowhide” stiffen up in that range.
Gonna see if I can get it out of my head and if Schott comes up with a New Years sale. I’m right by a Schott store but they can’t get this one. Weird.

I can’t find a single fault in that. I wish my PHWM had the belt there. If it had it probably wouldn’t be in Iowa. Looks perfect man.

Doesn’t look too long though and they will provide some nice creasing! Looks the nuts to me. If memory serves you’ve got this style covered en masse! Nice addition to a stellar stable.
