We had a movie night with friends staying over and watched it all the way through with a tea and cookie break half way. We were decidedly indifferent to the movie overall.

A lot of times reality isn't as glamorous as we think. I think this is Scorsese distilled down to bare bones, we'll be re-looking at this later and praising it's subtle mastery. Keep in mind he's a film genius and we're layman (I assume).
