It's an iconic style and a great collectors piece and you could have probably resold it for more money but as an actual piece of clothing, it was unwearable anyway. 22" backlength is just too little for modern cut trousers. So from a "new jacket to wear" point of view, you really didn't miss out on much.

Either these have somehow lost value over time or the seller doesn't know what they're selling, but that's THE jacket. If anyone wants to make a quick couple of thousand of dollars, BIN now.

So from a "new jacket to wear" point of view, you really didn't miss out on much.

I know, all true but I just wanted to see it. I still deeply love those stupid things and that'd be as much of a Grail to me as to anyone else. Not to mention it's an actual 50's piece.

The fact that it probably would've sell to Japan for $5,000 helps, too.
