Well, my number came up....off for jury selection I go in my favorite straw. You guessed it, that's not my happy face today. The whole morning will be sitting in a crowded room with about 200 other potential jurors, Austin is a pretty big town and the Texas justice system is a very bizarre process. While still not hot enough for the month of July as I would like it, it was still too warm for a felt. Ergo, this very modern Mayser Panama Straw. Looking forward to receiving it's Boater cousin from Holland [emoji4]![]()

Now I'm going to have to check! Great Milan, Alan!I've had a number of sewn wheat grass braid straws that have a ventilation section hidden behind the pug. This one was well worn - I removed the ribbon and wear it sometimes on rainy, steamy days. Do you have any milan hats with this construction?

Thanks, Steve. It might well be the part I like best about collecting vintage hats. I'll try to remember taking 'before' shots. If anyone can bring a hat back to life again Stefan, it's you. I saw that in the very first hat I bought from you. The crushed Stetson fedora/trilby you rescued and turned into a very nice pork pie.
My only wish would be, please take before pictures [emoji4]

Strong storms this morning that I hope will pass shortly. Trying to decide what hat or whether to wear one now.
In the meantime, here’s Monday’s hat—

I like everything about that one, Ken. Cool straw, nicely worn.Off to work in my Nathaniels Custom straw with his signature Lizard Head bash.
Nice one, Steve. It's brother is going to be a well-travelled hat, from its origins in Ecuador, through Germany to Holland and now onwards to Denmark...While still not hot enough for the month of July as I would like it, it was still too warm for a felt.
