1930s Sportclad Goatskin. Got out in the warmer weather yesterday. this jacket was hanging around. This is a "diet" jacket. I need to trim winter weight for a proper fit.

Goatskin was a very popular material for lighter weight jackets like this. Probably made in California for the fair weather market.

With flat cap and broad fall pants. A pity these Naval Clothing Factory pants aren't more amenable to modification because they are made from what may be the nicest wool I've ever handled.

STF bootlegger courtesy of Carrie at Thurston. Brown CXL HH has rich brown and burgundy hues. It fits a little tighter than I expected from the fit jacket, but it’s add’l motivation to lose that #dadbod. Been kneading, wearing, and sitting on this one to help break it in, but I feel it’s a losing battle.

I can identify with that. Some time ago leather jackets, and a Bootlegger in particular, became my motivation to lose that body fat. And it worked. Best therapy ever!

+1 on the leather jacket holding you accountable on the dad bod. I lost 25+ lb over the past 9 months or so, and got this Aero 30s slim fit HB this past December:


Keeps me honest as I'm back down to my weight in high school. Geeze, that was 20 years ago.
