Johnson Leathers Custom Coat, Jacket
Made in San Francisco, USA
Fits like a 42 long
$195 shipped CONUS (or best offer!)
This custom leather coat uses what I believe to be a 4.5 oz cowhide shell in an unusual ***metal gray-blue. The jacket is in excellent condition inside and out. It features two outside ****** pockets with snap closures and two handwarmer pockets. The jacket also has four interior pockets (two vertical '******' pockets and two horizontal map pockets).
I would describe the hue as a ***metal blue, very close to the paint job on the 1927 Model T pictured below. It's a unique color for leather, yet very wearable and not in least eccentric, even by own fairly conservative standards in terms of jackets. I rolled the dice on this jacket second hand because I liked the color (not one I've ever seen on leather) and it was better than I expected. The leather has a lovely, substantial hand and a ton of depth, grain, and luster. I think most of that comes through in the pics. There was rain the day I took the photos so the long distance shots are a little washed out - that's the poor lighting conditions, not flaws in the jacket.
I love the jacket, but it fits like a 42 long and would look best in my opinion on someone 5'11 or taller. (I'm a straight up size 40 and 5'9).
Measurements given in inches and taken with jacket front fastened and the jacket laid flat...
Chest - 23 1/2"
Shoulder - 20"
Sleeve (shoulder to end of cuff) - 25 1/2"
Front length - 31 1/4"
Back length- 30 1/2"
PM me if you have any questions.
