Good morning folks. Dog walk this morning in a vtg. Stetson panama (optimo style). A vintage straw, like this one, I wear very gently. I was very alert to duck under limbs or branches.

I love that the hat has a date stamp. I also just picked up a Wegener with a 1960 date stamp on it. Maybe that's common with German hats? @mayserwegener would know =)

You will see date stamps occasionally behind the sweatbands of hats sold in Germany. For example the May 17, 1929 date stamped Echter Borsalino (made in Italy) I posted yesterday in this thread.

Just found this fur felt hat at the local thrift store. Don't know much about it. Says Charles Ogilvy Ltd. Rideau St. (Ottawa).

Price tag says 20.00.

Genuine Fur Felt on the side as well as "Twenty"

My problem is my big long oval head may he a bit too much for this 7 3/8.

7 1/2 is more my size.

We would thank the one who gives us a hat but do we thank the ONE who gave us the head on which to wear it?
