This one might be better in the ghost signs thread. It's definitely seen better days, but imagine how it must've looked back when whatever that is on top was doing it's thing.

Clearly not a neon sign, but I posted it (1) because of our prior conversation about the ubiquitous "pizza chef" and (2) the craziness of having a pizza chef on a wagon train. How much would a pioneer have killed to have been able to pull into a pizzeria (once he or she learned what pizza was) after a long day of heading West?

I had to go to Harrisonburg, VA for work this morning. Lots and lots of good signage still around!

Why in the hell do people shoot things that don't belong to them? I've been shooting since I was a small boy and if I had ever done such a thing there would still be a work boot protruding from my ahem.

I thought the same thing at first, but then realized that those holes are probably where the neon tubing came through, maybe?
