...This is by far the most “cowboy” I’ve ever looked and I’m not sure I like it (even with the sandals, which would never work in the U.S. but in Asia they are standard issue with any outfit)...

Still not quite close enough to the Cowboy look, but it's still a great casual style you're sporting. The style suits you far better than you think. It all works great together to my eye.

I agree with Mr. Jones--with your other adornments and demeanor, the overall look is less "cowboy" and more "casual traveler". That hat is definitely a keeper!

No hat -too cold this morning.

Snow removal earlier this morning at -17f (with wind chill). A vintage wool cap with ear flaps. It is labeled "Newest Fashion Cap" made in Milwaukee, WI. Grand wool with fuzzy material covering my ears had my head toasty.
