It's rare, but not without precedent, for a 7 1/2 to fit me; however, for the price I couldn't resist this Dobbs homburg:

The one good thing about the larger sizes is that they aren't usually hard to sell if they aren't perfect for you.

Received the $30.00 Barton yesterday. I think once I get it cleaned up and reshaped it will suit me fine. 5.75 inch open crown, 3.25 inch brim. It was originally sold from Bentley Clothing Store in one of my favorite towns, Sheridan Wyoming. It was a little small but it is stretching out pretty easily. The crown is soft and the brim is relatively stiff. I was thinking of giving it a naptha bath, but since it's not a dress hat and it cleaned up fairly well with a sponge and brush, I'll leave that for now. It is a pretty wide brim for my narrow face but I like it. Well worth $30.

I like it! Interesting brand. Probably something here on the Lounge about them. Are you going western style with it or an OR?

Its a 7 and I'm a 1/8. Stretches fine but drys back to a 7. Frustrating. Will keep at it.

A Thomas Cook “Dusty”. Don’t know much about it. I liked the color, shape, and it was my size, plus it’s all rabbit fur felt, so I snagged it off of Ebay.

Anyone know about rabbit felt Thomas Cook hats?
