Nick I had a G1 also nearly the same as that one you have on, and well, it was also a bit short in the sleeves and to a lesser extent that torso as well. Hey it'll work man just don't lift your arms too much!

Yup. The body is shorter than I prefer, but that is a matter of personal preference. The sleeves are too short by any standard.

Great looking G-1, a hair too small but very nice. If you can return, do so and go up a size. It does it you well in the torso. Larger will feel BIG on you.

What is pretty cool is John Chapman or Moore (I forgot, maybe both sites mentioned it) are spot on with their fit assessment of this contract. It definitely has a wider shoulder then comes sloping in.

Anyhow, I just got a phone call and with a large family expense, seems like the only things I have of value to contribute are my jackets. I'll be selling most or all of them ASAP. Sounds like baloney to sell, but family is more important than jackets, so time to post a classified or see what the vintage store will give me. Sorry for the rant and/ or insertion of personal affairs here.

I think you can still really enjoy it. I wouldn't worry if its not in the budget. Its Roger Moore Navy Jacket website you are probably thinking. I have purchased a few G-1's from him many years ago.

40s Brown Horsehide half belt with bi-swingback. Light lining, generic Horsehide label at neck. Beautiful Beveled Tripled marked Talon Zipper. I'm really getting into these vintage zippers. I had a repair done to the broken neck lining and reinforcement in one shoulder, new pocket linings. This is the Vintage jacket that has a look similar to my BK Dodger. The Dodger may have more wear.

There's just something about that jacket.....it's as if it really was made JUST for you. Looks great!
