I enjoy your blog posts about dyeing! I have cotton dress that was white when I bought it at the thrift shop, first I dyed it brown and then when I got tired of that I overdyed it purple. I also had a couple of floral printed dress I sewed for myself that after wearing a few times I overdyed turquoise and yellow. I have a book written in the 40's where the main character talks about dyeing a blouse several different colors, first pink and then navy blue to give new life to her limited wardrobe.

That's awesome! My husband and I were experimenting with dye recently (he wanted a giant and sloppy George's cross). When our daughter came in and saw our red-stained hands and cloths, she exclaimed "What's happening?!" You should have seen her face when we told her "It's okay, mommy and daddy are just dyeing." Silly ****phones!
