A little update on the scarf (I'm making it for my boyfriend who moved to Raleigh as a gift). After several hours on this attempt and many a failure before it, I'm making headway!

Looks like lovely even stitching, I'm afraid I can't knit myself but have a keen interest and have sourced lots of wool for various projects. If you're interested in the 5-ply worsted wool for guernseys or undyed wools from rare breed sheep let me know and I'll put up a few links.

All three circa 1947 by "Man o' Karma"; all have the same label; designs are the same on the front and the back. I was able to find the original advertisement for these exact sweaters from 1947 in a newspaper, but to access a full-size image, I need a subscription to their website and I'm not giving them my credit card information for that (you even need to give them card info for the free trial.) Thank you for that! And yes, I know haha.... the hunt is on. Who knows, maybe one will turn up. I've gotta say, the ad really shines light on the fact that all three actually fit me - they are youth sizes! (One is a small, two are mediums)

It appears that V-neck sweaters were more common than crew neck sweaters. I wonder why?
