Unusual 40s Suit

That could easily be made back into it's original single breasted form. It's a pretty nice suit too, with rare for the period slanted pants pockets!

I believe DB notch lapel suits date back as far as late teens. I dont see it being a SB jacket.

It's not the lapels that indicate SB.

I agree on this one, but just as an aside, the cutaway double breasted notch lapel suit was a fashion very briefly at the end of the 1950s.
