CCJ: - Depends, I have one from France that is 7" wide by 38" long. Usually though 6 x 36". Anything smaller is not good. Large silk squares make good cravats too..CCJ

There is a seller on the bay selling an ascot however it seems rather long at 60 ins.
It seems more like a plan scarve to me.

If you like the design and the price is good, you could try cutting it down. Otherwise, try a different way of tieing it
i.e wrap twice around neck and loose knot at front.

I reserve wearing cravats for summertime use, generally. When it's too hot to wear a tie, and I prefer a looser alternative.
