I've ordered a couple of ties off of eBay that look good to me.
2 1/2" narrow silver tie with pattern.
2 1/2" tan knit tie.
I honestly can't accurately date these, but for the first one, it is supposed to be 1950s vintage. Does that hold true? Both of these ties are what I would think of as vintage lengths (55" and 53" inches respectively), which are better for me as I almost only ever tie four-in-hand knots, and the 58" and longer ties of today could go down past my belt if I tied such a knot.

That would go with any shade of brown that is for sure.
