Mr. Bezos currently sells Talisker10 for 27,- and Benromach15 for 57,- bucks here. I am a weak man and just couldn’t resist…o_O
I can't get the Benromach 15 here, only the 10. The 10 year is the only one they sell here but it is my 'go to' bottle. Sells for $90 Canadian. My buddy picked up the 15 in the US and said it is a big leap upward from the 10. Talisker Distillers Edition is one of my favourites along with the Lagavullan Dist Ed and the 16.

Wow. This thread has been going for about 15 years. I probably posted to it at some point, but my current favs are Monkey Shoulder in cocktails and Glenmorangie Lasanta for sipping.
I’ve had a bottle of Lasanta but for a really special Highland Malt try a bottle of their Extremely Rare 18 yr old. It goes on sale from time to time & I buy ahead.

My fav Islay would be Lagavulin 16 & Ardbeg Oogie a close second place.

Currently these three here:

Bunnahabhain is always a safe harbour, especially at cask strength.

Ben Nevis can‘t ever fail, no matter what expression.

That Glenlivet‘s been a present from my neighbour and though i don‘t like Glenlivet‘s standard bottlings at all, this little gem from the Symingtons is simply very good.

Wow! I'm inspired to try a few of the varieties posted here.

Out of curiosity, I have tried Laphroaig in the past but could not get past the strong peat flavor. I couldn't finish one serving. I've been told it takes time to acquire a taste for it. Is this true? I really don't like the taste. I opt for the Highland varieties.

Around this time of year I would be looking forward to Santa bringing me a single malt Lagavulin. He never forgot, but nowadays my Christmas whisky is no more. After developing a penchant for French red wine I promised Tina that I would quit, and I have. I don't think my abstention is a risk to jobs at the Lagavulin distillery.
