When is wearing suede (mainly shoes) appropriate ? I always thought it was more of a fall/winter thing. Is that true or just me?

I wear my brown suede T-straps anytime. True, fall is best, but I never have been a rule follower. I wear long sleeves and cardigans in the middle of the summer because of cold office air. I also can't wear spring/summer colors, they are just too bright for my fair skin. [huh]
