I've been getting into hiking in recent times when I get the chance and have ended up using a lot of vintagish apparel, especially for the colder weather (Swedish M40 trousers & a Norfolk jacket for example). I was wondering however what people might be wearing for the warmer weather and if they had any recommendations; obviously something reasonably hard wearing and cool enough for a warm day (I overheat quite easily haha)

For vintage hiking I recommend What Price Glory, especially their pre-WW1 stuff. And since you are in Britain, easier might be SOF Military, also WW1 and khaki drill stuff, great for warm weather vintagish hiking.

For warmer weather but still keeping that vintage, hard-wearing vibe, I’d go with lighter military surplus or workwear pieces. British Army jungle trousers or US OG-107 sateen pants are great, they’re tough but breathe better than wool, and you can roll the cuffs if it’s hot.
On top, lightweight poplin or chambray shirts work well, especially if you find ones with pleated backs for movement. If you want something with pockets like your Norfolk jacket, look at vintage safari jackets in cotton drill — they give you storage without being too heavy, and they wear in nicely. If you are open to other options, try zippileather's jackets and leather pants for great warmth.
Footwear-wise, canvas and leather boots or old-school trail shoes are good for summer hikes, especially with wool-blend socks that breathe but still manage moisture. And don’t underestimate a decent brimmed hat — keeps the sun off and fits the vintage aesthetic.
