Vest with patch pockets?

While trying to build my own suit I came up with the idea of a vest with patch pockets to go along with a patch pocket jacket.

Do vests with patch pockets exist or would that be too much for a vest?

I recall seeing a three piece suit with patch pockets on both the jacket and vest, though I believe it was bespoke.
