I really enjoyed this movie! You just sit back and take it all in. Not a whole lot of thinking to be done in this flick, and sometimes that's just refreshing. It's very period and I think a lot of people in this forum will enjoy it for that aspect alone.
I did too!I agree.
I really liked the jail break scene with Robert Patrick.
The characters are not wearing COLLAR BARS on there shirts. Its a small detail but worth a mention. I wonder what other small details were over looked?
Best regards.

A question for those who have seen this movie: does it reflect the historical fact that, at this time, both the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the L.A.P.D. were deeply corrupt? Historically, large elements of both law enforcement organizations were on the payroll of Jack Dragna, Benjamin Siegel and, later, Micky Cohen.
We saw it Saturday night. My problem was I just finished reading the book which told the true story. The movie went way over with the shootouts...but the scenery was excellent. Great hats & cars.
1961MJS...I thought the same thing about the brass and the ****** holes. The dual tommy *** scene was rediculous.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I had completely forgotten about this film. Was it even in theaters? We saw the DVD for sale this past weekend... may have to pick it up for the scenery!
