The Declining Popularity of the Necktie

Hadn't given this topic much thought til I noticed this thread, but it does seem that one sees many fewer ties these days vs. what I recall even 10 years ago. While I work in an office setting in a "professional" job, in my profession males often seem to dress "business casual," which I do at times too. However, I also like wearing suits or sport jackets and ties are the necessary aesthetic complement. Wear them because I like them. I must as I have around 50 of them. In summer, I often skip the jacket but still wear ties. Earl
