That belt looks like if taken care of, would last a life time and sharp, too!
Thanks for the comments. The belts are thick heavy-duty vegetable-tanned Saddle Skirting. They hold that's for sure.

Plainclothes officers and off duty officers like those belts because they can support extra weight. I have two of them, and they will be around long after I am gone.
