It's a mix for me
I like the "Beat" or "Rebel" look of the late 40's (which I suppose goes up through the '60's?), though I'm not as fond of how men's clothing fit in the 50's. Add to that a mix of 30's suits (fitted, the way they should be IMO), workwear, 40's uniforms and flight jackets...
I think I look at each piece, and then decide if I like it or not.
