Thanks! The tonality of the surface of the sun is inverted in this image which helps bring out the detail and also imparts that furry look. The lightest areas on the sun are the coolest - the dark areas are the hottest. The sunspot at lower left would be black in the original capture.

Well, since we're going to space... an interplanetary commuter done in Illustrator with a bit of Photoshop



and my first and only (oil) painting since art school back in the seventies, a wanna-be pulp magazine cover incorporating a tiki in homage to 2001: A Space Oddity.
