I was able to acess the back elastics through the hole in the lining on the right side, and the top one seems good while the bottom simply came detached at one end.

I tried using a safety pin to take up some of the top elastic and add s
tension in case it's stretched out, but with even the minimum amount that could be taken up I feel that elastic strap too much across my back so I think it's probably fine.
I am thinking my only issue was the bottom strap having come undone, so I temporarily attached the other end and will see if it can eventually pull the gussett back into place.

I don't know how long it can take for this to happen though or if there's any way to speed up the process.

I decided I'm going to make a replacement belt loop for this jacket.

It's not going to be a perfect match, but should look passable from 5 feet away.
I've got some dark brown feibings on the way since I was all out, hopefully this will be a close enough match.
I've got some scrap upholstery leather on hand that I will try to make the belt loop from.
I don't have matching thread, but will use the same light brown that I re-secured the other belt loop with.

I don't need to hide any repairs, the miss matched thread won't stand out that much and will keep the jacket honest.

I just used Rago Brothers in Morristown, NJ. Incredibly easy shipping and estimate process, the fixed the torn lining of my Fine Creek jacket in like 1 day, cost was about 90 bucks. Super happy with them. I guess they’re known on IG and Tik tok as master leather repair guys, which I didn’t know before using them, but I would def use them again.

They look squared away. Thanks.
