I had a herringbone tweed pair and a brushed cotton pair in the early 70s. My Grandfather used to say they were nothing like wide enough and they used to make two skirts for his sisters out of his old ones.

Thinking back to 1971 it may have been the platform boots that made it difficult to walk in them

These were made for me, and I'm wearing them as I type this. They're truly spectacular trousers and very comfortable indeed. Definitely worth the money and I'd happily have Indy make me something again!
