Ocean's 12 was not written as a sequel. It was a script that already existed (the Pitt/ Zeta-Jones plot), with the Ocean's characters inserted.
Hopefully "13" is a return to form.

I have faith in this one. Europe wasn't the right setting for the guys - they recognized they needed to get back to swingin' Vegas. Vegas, baby, Vegas!
