... shoe polish? Really? How weird! Cherry Blossoms themselves are white, and cherries are (usually) red, neither colour is one I'd particularly associate with .... shoe-polish. Now, that's ruined a concept for me. I'm thinking connotations of blooming and future cherries and red and vaguely naughty thoughts and then .... shoe-polish. I can't imagine anything less ***y and pin-up girl-esque than shoe-polish!

It's just a brand name. Possibly because cherries always look highly polished.
