Help! Getting rid of smells on leather

Hanging a smelly jacket outside in the shade on breezy day has worked well for me in the past.

Couple hours locked in room with ozone machine

Just wash the jacket with a leather detergent and condition it. (ozone will dry it out) Then treat it with ozone in small time increments (e.g. 20-30 minutes) and pauses between treatments.
Ozone damages leather and top coats, it should be a last resort. Also it damages lots of other materials, so using it in a room is a bad idea.

PS Most people us ozone generators wrong. The need fresh air all the time to be effective, so do not place it in a box with the item you are treating. Place it outside ans let it blow into e.g. a box.

I know Vanson has a wash and recondition service that currently costs $150 (plus the ride). I believe Schott offers something similar. I've tried neither but would guess that a quick call to Schott might allow you to have your jacket professionally cleaned and back to you w/ a zero stink factor.
