Good stores in Charlotte, NC?

I'm going to be in Charlotte, NC in a month for the annual holiday visit with my family. It just dawned on me that I'll be in a new market, that's potentially filled with stores that I haven't scoured a dozen times.

Does anyone have any recommendations for shops in the Charlotte/Mooresville area?
