For example, here is the entry for my favourite cloth, Bedford Cord:

A woven fabric constructed to show pronounced rounded cords in the warp direction with sunken lines between them. Used in trousers, uniforms, hats, upholstery.


They also produce some interesting fabrics, in particular heavier weight fabrics used for traditional miltiary uniforms.
