Hello all! I'm new to the forum and I thought I would start by seeking out some advice. Last year as a senior final project for my film literature class, I made a film in the style of the 1930's. I was fairly happy with how it turned out, but I felt rushed, so I decided to redo it this summer. So if you guys would maybe watch my film and give me advice for what I could do differently? Much appreciated!

Other things to consider:
-I will be remaking the film to take place in the early '40s rather than mid
'30s.
-I'm planning on adding more to the plot.
-I'm the first male on screen. :)

Considering the limited budget of trying to get period costumes and props, I think you did a remarkable job. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap I've been involved in the theatre, film and television since I was about 11. One thing I've found out about those of us in the field is that we're never satisfied with the finished product. I see videos of productions I did decades ago and I still want to change things; my eye immediately goes to all the mistakes. Before you begin to remake your project, let some time pass so you can look at a bit more objectively. Good luck to you.

I am by no means a movie critic. My biggest observation (and it may have to do with the compression and file transfer on Youtube) is that the vocal track was not loud enough relative to the background thunderstorm and music tracks.
