Converting aprons to dresses and such

Have any of you converted aprons into dresses? I have a few I'd like to try. Also, I'm thinking I want to make a few very plain, solid colored frocks to wear under aprons, so that I can actually wear them, like a dress. Perhaps a peasant blouse type dress?
Any ideas?

I think its the other way around.

Ive never heard of people making dresses from aprons.
The apron/dress combo, a pinafore type deal might be what you are think of.

I mean some of the more pinafore type aprons, that almost close in the back... making them into sundresses. Perhaps adding an insert in front if need be, to make it fit or whatever.

I have one that does close, and I think if I just stitch it up the back and leave an opening with a few buttons it will work. I'll look for a pic of it, I know I have it somewhere...
