In spite of some coarse treatment and the lack thereof when Mingoslim
subsequently stated a positive opinion, "Looks awfully nice . . ." with no
repercussions, I had been planning to bid $220. If a mistake has been
made, enter my bid.

As far as any exchanges on the open forum (thus excluding PMs) I think you might be misinterpreting a little. I don't think there has been any "rough treatment" going on.
Stating a simple opinion or observation is not disruptive, but an actual "discussion" is. There is another thread open for that purpose. If Johnny got a little gruff or short, it's because he has to continually remind people about it, including recently.

Just remember, written communication lacks the subtle nuances of vocal tone and all that. Keep it in mind as you judge exchanges.
