Ran across a pair of these and I'm wondering if they're as good as advertised AND if they run "American Loose" or "Euro Tight".

Thanks in advance...

You mean "Hiltl", right?
A well known German trousers maker since the mid-50's. The quality is fine.

But they are of course oriented towards contemporary fashion and not "vintage" oriented at all.
Accordingly they are rather tight and not loose.

Their current styles range has "slim fit", "contemporary fit" and "classic fit".

They all are rather narrow and low rise. "Classic fit" has a moderately higher waist and a little bit wider legs.
Similar to late 1950's to 60's trousers. Come also with pleats and cuffs.

The Hiltl trousers from the late 80's to early 90's are loose and useable as late 40's trousers (double pleats, high waist, full leg - but tapered towards the end).

Thanks loads Fastuni!!!! I greatly appreciate your fast and thorough response, particularly about the current fit. Even though I'm a 44 in the waist if I were to get some of their "current" offerings I suppose I'd have to "size up" to be comfortable. This information is invaluable.
