Interesting how a change from zipper to button front alters the entire character of the jacket. I like this a lot. Very nice.
Woah! that looks absolutely sick mate, crazy how much a jacket can change with buttons instead of the zipper like you saidInteresting how a change from zipper to button front alters the entire character of the jacket. I like this a lot. Very nice.

Badalassi seems about perfect weight/firmness. And it's heavy.I’m thinking about a new jacket and considering a Hooch Hauler. Am I right in thinking this is a rare Aero style where staying true to size should provide a pretty trim fit (I.e limited Highwayman style size roulette)?
I think FQHH would be too heavy going for this sort of cut. Are there any other leathers that people generally find to be too stiff or hard work for this style?
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I love my FQHH hooch hauler, absolutely no regrets about going for that letter with this model. Just for novelty sake I'd go with CXL SH if I'd order again. Otherwise I'd go for badalassi if the massive upcharge was not there - no other leathers offered by Aero really interest me.I’m thinking about a new jacket and considering a Hooch Hauler. Want a forever jacket? Go for goat as they say.
Sizing is pretty true to size yeah, gives a nice trim fit, but be aware of the extra slim bottom hem for this pattern.
So many guys are buying jackets too small for their bodies. I wouldn't rush to blame the leather. The classifieds are stuffed with jackets that are too small for the owner.Well it doesn't to Tartu but it has for others, including me. Loving CXL like I do, I would definitely do this in SH if I had a do-over. But the restrictive feeling is also about the pattern which, while it looks great, many have said is not the most comfortable.

I've seen you post this multiple times RE: Cafe Racers. But tbh I've tried 3 varieties: RMC J100, LW Buco Ryder and Schott 141 (don't own the last one) and haven't felt any discomfort or the jacket fighting against me while standing neutral. Also the purpose a jacket is designed for is critical to comfort!!!
In other words do not by a cafe racer if you are not spending 90% of your time with your arms extended out front in a driving/riding position.
I agree your build is a factor. Someone with large back muscles that naturally has the shoulders in a rolled forward position is a perfect match for the cafe racer. With the shoulders rotated forward and arms rotated so the arms aren't as close to the body, the material does not bunch up as much in the armpit area.Tbh, I've seen you post this multiple times RE: Cafe Racers. Not to discount your experience with cafe racers - but that tendency may be due to how the pattern interacts with your build.
