2/10/08 - Roy Scheider dead at 75

Wow - that was a shock - Roy Sheider of Jaws fame (just to mention one) has died. Here's a link.

He did some really great work - even in not so great films like 52 Pick-up and Sorcerer.

How did he go from a fit looking forty-something to 75 so quick!?!?!?

I really enjoyed Roy Scheiders' films. 52 Pick-Up was a fun movie, All That Jazz was good, too. He'll be missed for sure. (I even liked him in Sea Quest).

Oh man he was a good guy, his "Your gonna need a bigger boat" from JAWS,
was voted the best quote, some of his best work besides Jaws, All that Jazz, The Sorcerer, and The French Connection,

I was suprised how old he was when RKO281 was filmed. He looked much younger than James Cromwell despite being 8 years his senior.

He did seem to age quickly didn't he? I seem to remember him looking fine one time and surgically altered the next.. [huh]

Almost forgot "The Seven Ups" another good movie, gosh hard to believe he was 75, he appeared so fit, trim. Sea Quest was good as well.
