Been a cold winter this year in Madrid, I've had my woolly on most of the time :) 100% lambswool submariner, next week down to -3c mornings

I moved back to NYC. We in the 20's today :) Also rethinking why I moved back East. :)

Ticklishchap and I are old friends. He should be able to give me a hall pass until my new jumper arrives.

Happy New Year everyone.
Well, looks as if you are in the club. Congratulations.

Not too cold here this morning––about 45°. Perfect weather for a WP under one of my Carhartts. I'll probably wear the one with the hood.

I imagine the rule is that you have to wait until it arrives and you have actually worn it in the field in cold weather. Given your location, it may be a while before you see any cold weather.

Ticklishchap is in charge of this thread, and he makes the rules. I am just trying to anticipate what he would say.

I am sure this chap has worn WPs and other military sweaters before. I clearly remember talking with him about it. For that reason, and because I like the guy, I have been more lenient, although I expect a full report from him when the sweater arrives!

Very much WP weather here - today it’s the turn of my Black WP (the colour associated with the Royal Tank Regiment).

Happy New Year chaps.

Winter has arrived Chicago, however, for some reason I still haven't broken out my last
British commando OD green sweater; instead relying on lesser brands to do the trick.
I'm losing fashion focus and sartorial style both. If I luck the Smarty Jones stakes superfecta
tomorrow, I'll put my winnings toward a RN white roll and a dark Gloverall coat. Memories of university
days armed The Sunday Times held gloved hand with a rolled Mayfair safely tucked inside a Gloverall pocket.;)
Welcome back! But I am disappointed in you Harp : time to don that OD!

Happy New Year! It’s been solid WP weather recently, with hard frosts and - fairly unusual for London - snow.

Hard to believe but finally we got some nice winter here, mild frost and a few Centimeters of snow.

Time to drag the sheep out of the vaults, 2,2kg Merino-Troyer.

And Happy New Year to you TC. Today isn't really WP weather as the temp is already up to 50°F. Probably up to the 60s by mid afternoon. Unusual for this time of year.
That’s interesting; I thought it was cold all over the Eastern US at the moment.

Hope WP weather comes back soon! We have it here for the foreseeable future.

Hi
Moved to Oklahoma in 2012 and I haven't worn my sweaters more than twice in years. It's either too hot, or so cold that you actually need to wool coat. I used to have a Wolly Pully, I still have an RAF sweater and I think a What Price Glory Olive drab sweater.

Oklahoma City University School of Law; US Army Field Artillery School, Ft Sill, OK.... long, long ago.
I can remember ice cold dawns at Sill; days Sun scorched and blistered, choking cordite and dust during hellish cannon battery live fire exercises; cool evening boxing matches and observing across a blood red sunset gated Heaven closure. :)

It is surprisingly warm here. Didn't come close to the 60s as I thought, but remained in the low to mid 50s, which is still mild for this time of year. Still got to wear my navy WP, though.
It’s good that you got to wear your WP. I am certainly wearing mine - I am still on the Black but will switch to Navy tomorrow. It is unusually cold here with very hard frosts, snow and icy winds - with beautiful clear blue skies.
