How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I was getting ready one evening, trying on stuff & deciding what to wear and one hour in, it hit me - What the hell am I doing!? Listed everything the next day, never looked back.

I've kept all the shoes and boots that I like, which amounts to five and which amounts to all the leather that I will own. I'll keep several pants and four textile jackets that keep me warm on those two months per year and that's that.
I've 8 pairs of boots, some trainers, and summer sandals. Way more than any man needs but I'll keep them as they are all worn over the course of the year but I aim to only replace the trainers as a pair expires. I'm down to 9 jackets/coats. I definitely need to move some of those on but for some reason I always convince myself that I need them. I'd become very disappointed in myself regarding a consumerism attitude and decided I need to do something about it. The FL doesn't help with all the amazing jackets, boots, hats, etc. that people display and I've considered deleting my account but then I'd miss out on a lot of the good conversations that I come across here. I also think I'm a product of my upbringing, where as a child we had to wait if we wanted new clothes and now as an adult in my 50's with a little disposable income I was tending to splash out and treat myself and this spiralled to far too many purchases. Time to change

Just because leather jackets are stiff heavy and uncomfortable, make you sweat in the heat and freeze when it’s cold and are both addictive and expensive is NO reason to just give up on the whole…

Oh no…

BOOOOO!!
Not enough pockets.

No, but that’s a seriously nice jacket, and the panel matching on the right shoulder especially is some kind of magic. It almost looks like a single panel.

I think you did it just right. When the grain of the leather is such a focal point of the jacket you need to pick the exact individual jacket out for yourself.

A minimalist approach. Very fine. That's exactly what I do too... in my mind.
As I've often mentioned, it's just the implementation that's a problem.
Unfortunately, I've bought a disproportionate amount in the last few months, but at least I haven't bought a leather jacket. I even cancelled one I had already ordered. I'm proud of myself. lol

Got my delivery of two Swedish jackets, a leather car coat/coat and a military shearling parka.

The leather jacket came with at liner that made it surprisingly warm, so it'll be perfect for those not so cold winter days :)

Also love how the goat skin has aged, while still having some heft to it, it's suuuuper soft and comfortable with a lovely grain.

Second is the beast of a military-parka that's called "livspäls" in Swedish, meaning something like "life fur" in English.
Super warm, built like a tank and very convenient with the big pockets. This one will save me when we get hit with those crazy temperatures that always finds us up here.

Will be super fun to try these beauties out in the "real" coming months.

Cheers all!

Currently, I have a Field Leather Manhattan that will soon arrive sometime next year, as I placed my order earlier this year back in February. Planning on going with Badalassi Nappa Lux, wine cotton sateen lining, fur collar, all brass hardware with added stars on epaulettes. Currently due to have my measurements taken by Greg this month with my fit jacket set to arrive around Christmas. Super stoked for how this one will come out!

My Aero premier Highwayman in black Badalassi just arrived yesterday! Also the JS03 from Tenjin Works (veg tan kip leather) has arrived a few weeks ago and now I'm waiting for the spring to give this one more wear.
