Many thanks Jimmy
This is an Aero Leathers Slim Motorcycle Jacket aka Ridley in blackened brown Vicenza and brass hardware.
Hi Jimmy - there is also a dedicated FL Outerwear thread on the Aero J106 aka Ridley aka Slim MC jacket that you might find useful, as there are quite a few variants out there now as this model allows for lots of tinkering with the base model, from the great D-pocket classic of Mr Proper to various others with different layouts closer to the Bootlegger, Hooch Hauler etc. that blend moto and aviator elements. It is by far my favourite Aero model of all my jackets and I even have another in production (rust goat suede with a mouton collar) at the minute….

Excellent, thanks Salmosalar. I'm still finding my way with patterns, leathers and makers, so the guidance is much appreciated

Hi Jimmy - no problem at all, happy to help! I am still on the same journey myself but have picked up a fair bit of experience with various Aero models and sizing along the way now, so if that is of use to others on FL so much the better. The patterns make a lot of difference and some work better than others for different folks - for instance, the Cafe Racer doesnt quite work so well for me, and the 1930s cuts are generally better for me than the more boxy 50s versions, but the Slim MC jackets I have are right on the money fit-wise. I experimented first with used versions, some of which I passed on, and then once I had it dialled in focused on custom orders to get exactly what I was after and Aero have been excellent in that regard. If you are buying SH or from their stock items it is key to rely on the actual measurements rather than the stated sizing, as the latter often seems to bear little resemblance to what you might expect - I have stock jackets from 34 to 38 and others on FL have an even bigger range, so it is worth figuring out your own dimensions carefully asap and relying on them to guide you rather than what is given on the label. I would say that is even more true for Aero than other makers - even if you look at their stock offerings you will see a fair bit of variability within size ranges even for the same model….once you know your own measurements though it is much easier to hit the bullseye!

What…did…I…miss? There better be something seriously wrong with it or I will be very put out. Lol. I look forward to Cals making others happy.

Edit: I just saw your pics. Amazing bro. So effin nice. That is a new one. I think only the second very recent Cal posted here. How is it? Does it compare favorably to the Leatherman version and the true vintage ones. Man, you absolutely got one over on me. Where did you find it?

Edit 2: I’m literally yelling “avenge me” at the sky lol. BTW, I can send you a Sam Browne belt. I’ll send you some pics of different options. I gots loads of them.
Honestly I'm waiting on it, its in the mail. Im going to pm you my email so that you can send pics of sam browns. My brother is a computer tech; he actually did something on my e bay app that will hide the page of my saved searches from the public for about 2 minutes so I have to act fast if im interested not really any time for questions or anything basically its bin or hold off an risk losing it. We will talk more via email. Sending pm

Jake, blink if you're being held hostage by whoever made those pants!
Are you referring to the snug top block fit? They're actually slightly loose in the waist, but the rise is too low and the thighs are too snug so they are for sale. Not skipping leg day does have downsides.

I think some more fitted pants would look great on you. I'm not saying slimfit because I know you hate those, but something in between like these:

Funny that you post pics of one of my best buds on IG :D

That's how my new pair fit:

They're still slimmer than I want, but that's just how my body is I guess. These are 2" loose in the waist and they still fit this slim (it's a WWII cut so not a slim cut).

cool grainy looking jeans, is that your new conner's jeans.
btw why don't stuff the dangling carkeys and things into your front pocket, I mean still hanging on the belt, but capture the loose hanging ends into the front pocket, that's how I carry my usb stick, small SAK, keys, etc. when I ride my bicycle since I'm afraid one day the hook or clasp might fail on me, and I drop my house key while cycling without feeling it. Looks much neater too off the bike.

separate issue, I find out coins and keys (metals) age raw/ leather FAST, if you have a fresh belt clip or keychain fob, etc. put it inside a pot or pouch where you store coins, it will patina leather really fast.

Don't need nothing else in life.

Well... I mean, your entire jeans. You've got a perfect jacket, super cool shirt, deadly boots, on point hair style and then those gigantic, tubular denim tunnels with sharp angles sticking out of seven different directions. But it could be they're just too new and will look nicer once seriously broken in but as it stands, I have never seen those wide jeans doing anyone much good.

But on the other hand, that don't mean anything as I'm generally biased against wide jeans in general. I understand they were made stupidly wide to not get in the way of physical labor while providing a durable, protective shell but as far as the looks go, anything that's negating ones physique to such an extent is a no go in my book.

The first pair @Marc mndt posted, worn by thedenimdentist, is IMO perfect. Perfectly balanced. I even dig the length.

Is this "outerwear"? I guess it qualifies, as long I wear it as an outer layer, right...? :)

"Townes"-Shirt. My first ever purchase from Ship John. Must say, the best denim shirt I have had yet. Expensive (especially post import) but something special for sure. Much stiffer than IH although it feels thinner. Reminds me of the shirts Indigofera does, but with a slightly more subtle design and enhanced versatility. I will enjoy every single day of break-in and aging!
