What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

This morning I cleared some ice build up from the foot of the driveway. We got sleet and then some slushy snow through the day. My Gannon Wanderer (charcoal beaver felt) did it's job well!

Haha. Thanks Steven. You know... when I go over to the in-laws my father-in-law has on Bonanza or ***smoke. I’m always like mesmerized by the hats. Well. That and noticing them switch from studio sets to live outdoors shots in the very same scene.

So not a minute after I responded to your post earlier... I set the hat on my bed and went in the bathroom for a minute. I come back out to find the hat exactly where I left it but with the crown all crushed up. Nobody else was in the room. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Only thing I can figure is my wife gave the dogs a treat and one of them jumped up on the bed and landed on it giving it a fantastic ***** bash and then he freaked out and hid under the bed before I returned. Fortunately the dents popped right back out.

so yes... apparently It will take a crease. LOL but will need steam to finesse it in to the right shape.

but I gotta tell ya. I’m digging the big open crown as it is

Thanks Alan. Funny how that happens. I was looking around old posts for a while today to find a similar one with no luck. Then bam... there’s Bowen’s. This is definitely the place for that to happen

Hat on a bed curse sounds like to me.
Have to admit mine’s a pretty firm hat. I’ve never opened the crown but i’m sure steam would be required to re-crease it. I like the crease it came with. I wear this hat much more than any others. I love it’s profile.
Your’s is epic however you choose to crown it.

Slushy, yucky snow fell here in my neighborhood. The Akubra BGCD was my work hat this morning. Dog soirée and snow moving done.
