Here's a couple of interesting overcoats worn by an actor whose name I forget, I think these were taken during filming something.

No makers marks. I'm a big fan of these coarse woven black and white Donegals. Might get a couple of days wear out of it before it warms up.

Full length coat, camel hair (yes?), extra row of stitching on seams, patch pockets, folded-back cuff... trust me, it's a polo coat. It's just not a Polo coat. If you want to argue, don't, just go read through this thread: LINK.

Actually that one is charcoal gray. The colors of the photo are a bit wrong... it's a Brooksfield, 6x2 90% wool/ 10% cashmere. I coudn't find any info about age, my guess 90's

Short overcoat worn by Keanu Reeves in the movie "Siberia". It's a running joke in the film among the locals in a small Siberian town that he's inadequately dressed, but he makes clear he never intended to go further than St Petersburg but events forced him to.

Here's some interesting overcoats being worn for hunting, somewhere in Europe. Why not? One doesn't always have to wear a tweed or wax cotton 3/4 length coat. These look like they're made from a heavy, roughly finished wool.
