I think the ribbon had a Frayed edge ? cant tell in my lousy pic
it was a soft & squishy felt, not a helmet like most of the Herbert Johnsons ive felt

Fantastic, Che and Mike!

Here is a handful from a gig last night in Sioux City, IA. I love these gigs because I'm allowed to actually wear my hats when I play! It's an old Penny's Marathon Milan with a delightfully faded pug and nylon sweatband.
