I was forced to watch it. Most men love that stupid movie. I'm not a fan of potty humor. Although Airplane was amusing at times.

Well, it is a guy movie----I just can't stand Ben Stiller. I like his father though.

In 2006, we took a family vacation to Germany and Austria for a "Sound of Music" tour, since my wife is such a big fan. It turned out to actually be more of a history of Austria tour, so it was really a good trip.

I have a different appreciation of the movie now, having been to many of the places it was filmed. My big complaint is the number of historical errors in the film. For example: if you cross the alps form Austria, you are in Germany, not Switzerland - it's the opposite direction! They actually fled on a train to Italy.

I'm not a fan of the Departed, so many people rave about it, Scorsese's worst I reckon but I do quite like (most of) James Cameron's films.

Scorsese is vastly overrated. He's a stylist rather than a true original, everything he makes seems to be an homage to someone else's work (and with The Departed, his own).

I Really liked Risky Business but since then I have not found one Tom Cruise movie I can sit through. He has made big budget junk movies since then.

The problem is he bought a ticket to crazy town and hasn't come back to reality. I agree he is able to make great movies and I hate to compare an actors real life with their characters, but he's just plain nuts and it supersedes anything else he does.
